My Philosophy

To be able to share the person’s journey towards self-realisation is for me one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I often feel a sense of wonderment when someone gathers the courage to come into therapy and trusts me to become a fellow traveller, working with them to identify – and then remove – the obstacles that are limiting their potential.

By facilitating my clients’ self-awareness I aim to empower them to make the necessary changes to heal their lives; this often leads them to greater intimacy, awareness and spontaneity.

So the quality of my therapeutic relationships with my clients is of the utmost concern to me. I strive to build it on respect for them and on empathy with their experience, knowing that as much as I may touch their lives, so they also may touch mine.

Codes of Ethics & Practice

I subscribe to the Codes of Ethics and Practice of the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA) – eatanews.org – and the British Psychological Society’s Code of Ethics and Conduct (August 2009) – bps.org.uk. I work under the supervision of an experienced therapist and trainer.
